Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of our services and website. Please read them carefully before booking a consultation.

Last updated: 2025-10-24

1. Service Scope

Pet Behaviour Services provides veterinary behaviour consultations and training programs. Veterinary Behaviour Consultation (VBC) is a veterinary service available only in Victoria (VIC). VBC by Zoom requires a valid veterinary referral, or an in-person home visit within our service regions. BAAC (Behaviour Assessment & Animal Consultation) is available without referral.

2. Bookings & Payments

  • Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe. We do not store full card details.
  • All prices are displayed in AUD and include GST where applicable.
  • Travel surcharges apply for home visits and are calculated by distance tier from Edithvale. Tolls or parking fees may be added where relevant.
  • Training packages: the base price is paid upfront; any travel surcharge is billed per session.
  • Tax invoices are provided by email after successful payment.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

Important Notice

Professional appointments require adequate notice for changes.

  • You may reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment without penalty. Late changes may incur the full fee at our discretion.
  • No-shows are charged the full fee.
  • If we must reschedule (e.g., emergencies, illness, unsafe conditions), we'll offer the next available time or a full refund for that session.

4. Telehealth Consent (Zoom)

By booking a Zoom consultation, you consent to receive services via telehealth. You're responsible for a stable internet connection and a quiet environment. VBC via Zoom requires a valid veterinary referral (uploaded or provided prior to booking approval).

5. Safety & Suitability

Safety First

If anyone is currently at risk of injury, contact emergency services immediately.

  • Safety triage is built into our booking process. If anyone is currently at risk, contact emergency services immediately.
  • You agree to follow safety instructions during and after sessions (e.g., management plans, separation of animals, use of equipment and barriers).
  • We may decline or stop a session if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable (fees may still apply if due to client factors).

6. Medical Considerations & Medication

Behaviour medications (if indicated) are prescribed only in accordance with veterinary judgment and regulations. Medication is not guaranteed. Communication with your primary veterinarian may be required for coordination of care (particularly for VBC cases).

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and disclose any known risks (e.g., history of aggression or bites).
  • Ensure an adult is present and in control of the pet during sessions.
  • Implement management recommendations and training plans between sessions.
  • For home visits, ensure safe access and advise us of hazards (gates, parking, animals on premises).

8. Privacy

We collect and handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. Referral files are stored securely and retained for seven (7) years in accordance with professional obligations.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant services. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. These terms do not limit rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes & Contact

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted here. For questions about these Terms of Service, contact us:
